100% New Zealand Single Malt Whisky made from 100% Canterbury grown and malted barley. Mashed, fermented double pot still distilled and aged more than 3 years in half and quarter sized virgin French oak barrels.
Aged three years in a 100 litre STR (shaved, toasted and re-charred) ex Pinot Noir barrel. This is New Zealand’s first single malt expression in the style that has proven so popular for distilleries such as Springbank and Ardbergh.The nose carries peach, nectarine, black currants and vanilla aromas. The palate is sweet with brown sugar, raspberries, vanilla, light baking spice and caramel. The lingering finish is of black currants and dark chocolate.Only 120 bottles came from the barrel after the Angels Share!
