Our first Divergence release made with medium peated malt, smoked using New Zealand peat and the finest Canterbury malt. Matured in ex-Bourbon and ex-Otago Pinot Noir barrels for 3 years, then carefully married to create a distinctive New Zealand single malt that offers a remarkable balance of smoky depth and vibrant fruit character. Limited release with only 200 bottles.
Charred, spiced, dark fruits open the nose, followed by vanilla and manuka tea layered throughout with a whisp of coal smoke. The palate unfolds with sweet medicinal honey, preserved lemon, black tea, wild flowers and oyster shell, all wrapped in rich peat. A long smooth finish of smoky lemon and honey tea with a touch of brine.
